Tonya Hudson carries forward a family legacy deeply rooted in Hilton Head Island and its waters. After studying business and initially pursuing interior design, Tonya returned home following the unexpected passing of her father, Benny Hudson, in 1997. Alongside her mother, Barbara, she stepped into the family seafood business—unloading boats, working long days on the dock and learning every part of the operation firsthand.

Today, Tonya leads Benny Hudson Seafood with the same values her father instilled in her: hard work, honesty and taking care of people. Through years of dedication, she has earned the respect of an industry traditionally dominated by men while continuing to grow the business, champion local and sustainable seafood, and create an experience where every customer feels like family.
