I set up this blog to share interior design, travel and lifestyle inspiration for simple, relaxed living at home and beyond. You’ll find home tours, advice and tips, interviews, reviews, postcards from places I love and more – always with a focus on minimalism, muted colours and timeless, considered design.

The founder of Indigo Design, Michelle brings a quiet clarity and hands-on approach to every project she touches, whether it’s a new build, a renovation, or a full home reimagination.

Her passion began early. As a grade-schooler, she shadowed interior designers and was instantly captivated by the creative process. Today, that childhood spark has evolved into a design philosophy centered on authenticity. “I want every detail to feel true to how my clients live,” she says. “Not just stylish, but meaningful.”

Michelle’s work is defined by its calm refinement and by the relationships she builds along the way. She guides clients through every step—backed by trusted craftsmen, access to unique materials, and her signature thoughtful editing. The process feels personal, never overwhelming. Clients feel heard, understood, and supported.

She has countless standout projects—adapting a dream home for twins with special needs, and transforming a 1970s condo into a fresh open-concept haven, among them. “No project is the same,” she says. “Every home tells its own story.”

Even through challenges, including the supply-chain chaos of COVID, Michelle stayed adaptive, finding creative solutions to keep projects moving forward. Beyond her work, she enjoys cheering on her children in their sports, traveling, and immersing herself in new cultures—experiences that continue to influence her design perspective.

Looking ahead, Michelle hopes to keep doing what she loves: creating beautiful, refined spaces and deepening the relationships that make each project special.
